blue automation GmbH employees and family provide humanitarian aid for 4 months in Madagascar - time-out initiative

In today's working world, where overtime is often part of the job, many people wonder how they can make good use of the extra time they have earned. One story comes from the organisation "Mobile Hilfe Madagaskar e.V. (MHM)", which provides medical aid in remote areas of Madagascar and at the same time achieves a positive social impact. This organisation is financed by donations.

The hospital in Ambovo, which is supported by MHM e.V., is responsible for the healthcare of 14 neighbouring villages and is firmly focused on medical work. What makes the hospital special is not only its mission, but also the team. The entire medical staff on site is made up exclusively of Madagascan employees who want to support and benefit their own communities. At the head of this medical facility is a woman named Tanja Hock, who makes an outstanding contribution as director. With a monthly donation of €5, one patient can be treated.

The hospital specialises in obstetrics and paediatric care and plays a crucial role in the region, where there are hardly any other medical facilities. However, the challenges they face are not to be underestimated and financial support is a crucial factor in furthering their mission.

One of the important forces behind this humanitarian mission is the generous donation from blue automation GmbH, a German company from the automation industry that is commited to social causes. Their earmarked donation enabled the family of Tobias Willer, sales engineer at blue automation GmbH, to spend four months with his family on site. During this time, Tobias and his family experienced first-hand the challenges faced by the community.

In the remote village where they live and work, running water and electricity are luxury goods - everything works on a self-sufficient basis. Tobias is focussing on the installation of electricity and technical modernisation for the hospital, which will lead to improved medical care and the preservation of many jobs. "It's incredible that our employer gives us the opportunity to take time out to use our skills and time for a good cause," says Tobias Willer.

While his family tirelessly provides humanitarian aid on site, his colleagues at blue automation GmbH have taken on the additional responsibilities, helping Tobias and his family to enjoy this adventure. In this way, a new way was found to promote the work-life balance of employees and at the same time make a positive contribution to society.

"At blue automation GmbH, we firmly believe that companies have a social responsibility and should make a real contribution to improving the world. Overtime, for example, can be an opportunity not only to develop professionally, but also to make a contribution to society. Our employees are not only skilled workers, but also commited individuals with a heart for other people and their needs," explains Thomas Grahl, Managing Director of blue automation GmbH.

Thomas Grahl emphasises: "We hope that this initiative will not only have a positive impact on the communities that our employees support, but that it will also inspire other companies to adopt similar approaches. Together we can make a bigger impact and make a difference in the world. The

Time Out initiative could be a milestone that encourages companies worldwide to take social responsibility and create positive change."

In today's world of work, where competition often sets the tone, blue automation GmbH has taken a remarkable step that sets the company apart from many others. This extraordinary measure not only emphasises blue automation GmbH's social commitment, but also sets an example for the world of work. The "blue automation" time-out initiative is not only a great gesture of support for humanitarian aid, but also shows that the company values its employees as people and gives them the opportunity to find meaning and fulfilment outside of their working lives.
